The Hill and Decision Desk HQ\u2019s model had\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elections2024.thehill.com\/forecast\/2024-old\/president\/west-virginia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">given Trump<\/a>\u00a0more than a 99 percent chance of winning.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elections2024.thehill.com\/forecast\/2024-old\/president\/west-virginia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">won\u00a0<\/a>West Virginia with 68.6 percent of the vote, his largest share in any state that year. He then won again in 2020 by a whopping 39 percent margin.<\/p>\n<p>West Virginia voters are also choosing their next senator after Sen. Joe Manchin (I) opted not to run for reelection, with Gov.
